Summer's finally here and spf products are always a hot topic especially during this time of the year. I'm excited to share my thoughts on one of my favourite sunscreens that is a staple in my skincare routine.

What is the Hyal Reyouth Moist Sun by Dr.Ceuracle?

The Dr.Ceuracle Hyal Reyouth Moist Sun is a chemical sunscreen that is formulated with a unique formula called the 6-Hyal Complex, plus Panthenol and Niacinamide to provide deeper and longer lasting hydration to strengthen the skin barrier while providing adequate UV protection to the skin. The sunscreen promises to provide UV protection, reduce the appearance of wrinkles and to brighten the skin tone.

What is the 6-Hyal Complex? It is a formula created by combining 6 core hyaluronic acid derivatives (Hyaluronic Acid, Hydroxypropyltrimonium Hyaluronate, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate, Sodium Hyaluronate and Ascorbyl Propyl Hyaluronate) with different molecular weight and sizes to bring moisture to all layers of the skin. The larger molecules aim to form a moisture barrier on the surface of the skin while the mid size molecules strengthen the skin barrier. The smallest size molecules penetrate deeper into the skin layers to provide longer lasting hydration and improve the skin’s elasticity.

Packaging

This Hyal Reyouth sunscreen comes in a tube of 50ml with a long nozzle and twist cap. The outer packaging has a clean and simple design. If you are in the EU and require the ingredients in a different language, all you need to do is to flip the inside of the box out and you’ll be able to access the information that you need. Talk about maximizing packaging space!

Texture and Scent

This Dr.Ceuracle sunscreen is lightweight with a milky, lotion texture, similar to that of an emulsion. If you are someone with sensitive skin, this sunscreen might not be a good option for you. Just like all Dr.Ceuracle’s sunscreen formulations, this sunscreen does have a strong floral scent. Although the scent does dissipate over time, it may still trigger irritation in those with sensitive skin.

Performance

The Dr.Ceuracle Hyal Reyouth Moist Sun absorbs fairly quickly, doesn’t streak and gives my dry skin a well hydrated, dewy finish when applied with no white cast. I personally prefer a dewy finish from my choices of sunscreen to give my dehydrated skin a more radiant and revitalized complexion. However, if the dewy finish is not your preference, adding some finishing touches with a setting powder will do the trick.

What I love about this sunscreen is that it is a convenient sunscreen to use on days where I am rushing for time in the morning. I am able to skip my hydrating serum and moisturizer steps and jump straight to applying my sunscreen. As much as I love how this sunscreen feels on my skin, it is not water-resistant and is more suitable for daily, casual SPF protection rather than one I would use with heavy perspiration or water activities.

In addition, I’ve found that using a clean makeup sponge to reapply this liquid sunscreen and sealing the reapplication off with some pressed powder has worked wonderfully for my skin.

Ingredients

This is a chemical sunscreen that provides a broad spectrum UV coverage for the skin. According to official SPF reports provided, this Hyal Reyouth sunscreen has proven to yield a mean of SPF54.5 and a PFA of 16.24 PA++++.

The Dr.Ceuracle Hyal Reyouth Moist Sun ingredients focuses on two purposes - to hydrate and to protect the skin. The use of multiple hyaluronic acid derivatives and panthenol in this sunscreen formulation is strongly targeted towards those who are seeking for extra hydration in their sunscreen to help lock in moisture and to plump up fine lines and wrinkles.

Final Thoughts

While this sunscreen may not be water-resistant as I would like it to be, and the floral scent may not be suitable for everyone, I do love how hydrating and dewy this Dr.Ceuracle sunscreen leaves on my dry and dehydrated skin. I also like that this sunscreen is versatile for different climates. The lightweight texture is great for humid climates as it absorbs quickly into the skin. For a cooler climate, this sunscreen can be applied in layers for added hydration against the harsh weather.
