A Review: Dr.Ceuracle Hyal Reyouth Ampoule 50ml

My first acquaintance with Dr.Ceuracle was at a skincare convention here in Seoul, Korea back in 2021 when I was in search of a reliable brand to curate for Oshen Skin. It was also the first time I was mesmerized by the cult favourite Vegan Kombucha Tea Essence proudly displayed at the booth. As I learned more about the brand and their products, I was intrigued by the Hyal Reyouth Medical Derma skincare line, more because it was overshadowed by the other skincare lines created by Dr.Ceuracle. If you struggle with dry skin, the Hyal Reyouth Skincare line might just be your saviour to help rid the flaky, dry skin.

The Brand

Originally named as Leegeeham, the company prides itself as being the “cosmeceutical pioneer in Korea”. The inception of Leegeeham was the coming together of two dermatologists who believed that clinical expertise combined with technological data are crucial in creating skincare products that are effective for targeted skin conditions. The company went on to rebrand its name to Dr.Ceuracle in 2019 and it quickly became a cult favourite thanks to their Tea Tree Purifine line and the exceptional Vegan Kombucha skincare line.

 A review: Dr.Ceuracle Hyal Reyouth Ampoule 50ml

What is the Hyal Reyouth Ampoule

This Hyaluronic Acid ampoule is a hydrating ampoule that is formulated with 6 types of Hyaluronic Acid derivatives with the addition of Panthenol, Niacinamide and Fructan for added hydration benefits. The product promises to deliver continuous intense hydration into different layers of the skin, along with improving the skin’s elasticity and restoring compromised moisture barrier. The unique 6 Hyal Complex formulation uses six different types of Hyaluronic Acid and its derivatives to provide intense hydration to the skin.

As someone with dry skin, Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is a must-have ingredient in my skincare routine, specifically, different derivatives of HA in one product. This is because HA is a neutral ingredient that works well with many other ingredients to hydrate and restore the skin’s natural defense barrier. Well, unless of course if you are allergic to HA! I personally prefer this ingredient in either an ampoule or a cream. This is because Hyaluronic Acid tends to draw moisture from its surrounding into the skin layers. HA in an ampoule can ensure that I get the deep hydration I need in a larger concentration. When used in a form of cream, I can ensure that all the treatment that I have done on my skin is sealed in by the Hyaluronic Acid. HA is also an ingredient that I prefer to focus on in my night routine for better moisture retention while my skin gets to recuperate. The bonus is I get to wake up to moisturized skin.

Packaging

This ampoule comes in a 50ml plastic frosted bottle and a plastic dropper. While it doesn’t look as luxurious in a plastic bottle, it is much lighter and durable to carry around. I do personally prefer a glass bottle with glass dropper not just for aesthetically pleasing reasons, but also from an environmentally conscious perspective. I am especially fond of Dr.Ceuracle’s outer packaging as they not only provide the ingredients in English, but also information of the key ingredients with infographic icons. The key benefits of the products are clearly stated on the outer packaging which allow customers to understand their products in one glance, rather than flipping the box around and around for info.

A review: Dr.Ceuracle Hyal Reyouth Ampoule 50ml texture shot

Texture and Scent

The Hyal Reyouth Ampoule has a clear viscous, gel-like consistency. When applied, it does require some time to settle and absorb into the skin, which I think is best to incorporate this product in your evening routine. If you are rushing for time in your skincare routine, this ampoule would not be a good option for you. However, once absorbed, the skin feels soft, plump, hydrated and a hint of glow. Due to the high viscosity, a little does go a long way, which in the long run, makes the Hyal Reyouth Ampoule an affordable ampoule to consider.

Unfortunately, this ampoule does contain fragrance. The light floral scent is not overpowering for me, but it might be an issue for those struggling with sensitive skin and fragrance can trigger irritation and unwanted inflammatory response. However, it does dissipate rather quickly after application, which may or may not be a deal breaker for many.

Performance

I’ve been using this consistently in my night routine to help seal in other lighter treatment serums that I use to target my skin concerns. It helps create a thin coat to lock in the treatment serums before proceeding to my moisturizing step.

If you live in a country with changing seasons, this Dr.Ceuracle ampoule is a great option to use during the winter months. The thick consistency helps prevent loss of moisture from the heating indoors and the drying cold outdoors. As previously mentioned, this ampoule does require some time to settle into the skin and is not suitable for people who are on a busy schedule.

Ingredients

The formulation for the Dr.Ceuracle Hyal Reyouth Ampoule is focused on using six different hyaluronic acid in its unique 6-Hyaluronic Complex, along with Niacinamide, Panthenol and six different types of plant extracts to provide a boost of intense hydration to replenish dehydrated and dry skin. The goal of this product is to be able to improve hydration within the deeper layers of the skin where wrinkles tend to form. Aside from the above, additional ingredients such as Panax Ginseng Extract and Beta Glucan are excellent ingredients included in the formula to slow down the process of aging in the skin and to improve skin radiance.

Final Thoughts

My overall experience with the Hyal Reyouth Ampoule from Dr.Ceuracle has been positive for my night routine rather than a day routine.

Pros:

  • Visibly hydrates the skin upon application, an instant boost of hydration
  • The lightweight bottle is durable and easy to carry around
  • Visibly smoother skin surface after product has been fully absorbed into the skin

Cons:

  • It takes a while for the product to completely absorb into the skin due to the thick gel-like consistency, which may not be a good option for those with a busy schedule
  • It does pill when used under makeup
