A Review: Arztin Regenerative Schild Cream 50g

I can't believe that it's already February 2023! Are you starting to realize your skincare goals for this year? For me, the year 2023 is a year of slow beauty. It is a year where I look beyond the trendiest skincare products and go back to finding beauty products that have weathered the storm so to speak and continue to thrive and produce excellent results despite being outside of the limelight.

My first introduction to Arztin was back in year 2019. I was given a few samples of the product through an acquaintance. My first impression was literally confusion! Mainly because of the packaing, which I will explain more in my review of the Arztin Regenerative Schild Cream below. Fast forward years later, this moisturizer is one of the very few skincare products that still remains in my daily routine despite having tested multiple products over the years for my curation.

What is the Aztin Regenerative Schild Cream?

The Arztin Regenerative Schild Cream is a moisturizer that is formulated with three types of Epidermal Growth Factors (EGF) encapsulated in lecithin, a trademark peptide formulation known as Eternal P that maintains the collagen synthesis of the skin cells, Ceramide and Bifida Ferment Lysate. This moisturizer promises to strengthen skin elasticity while supplying the skin with nourishing ingredients to rejuvenate dry and senstive skin.

What are Epidermal Growth Factors (EGF) in skincare? EGF is a single polypeptide chain made up of amino acids (small protein molecules) that signal the human skin cells to regenerate new cells. There is a finite amount of EGF in our human bodies and as we age, the reservoir of EGF decreases as early as in our 20s. Hence, this is also why we start seeing signs of aging towards our late 20s and early 30s. EGF is a promising skincare ingredient in the field of dermatology as it brings a host of benefits for the skin.

Packaging

Arztin Regenerative Schild Cream Review | Oshen Skin

At first glance, the packaging of this brand can be rather confusing. It is a Korean skincare brand with a German twist where most of the exterior packaging of the product is written in German to reflect the founder's journey to create Arztin which combines the best of German and Korean formulas to deliver high-tech skin results. The Arztin Regenerative Schild Cream is housed in an aluminum tube with a plastic twist cap. I personally like that the alunimum tube can be rolled up and squeezed to use the cream to the last drop rather than having to cut the tube to clean out the container as we know how much product is left behind in a plastic tube packaging. The packaging also allowed more control over how much product comes out of the tube with less waste of the cream when dispensing.

Texture and Scent

This Arztin Regenerative Schild Cream is a lightweight, opaque moisturizer with a combination of gel and lotion textures. The cream is fragrance-free which is a great option for those who prefer non-fragrant skincare products. I love how the cream glides on the skin and absorbs quickly with a silky smooth finish after application.

Performance

The Arztin Regenerative Schild Cream is quick absorbing on my dry skin. It gives textured dry skin a soft and smooth finish without any greasy streaks. I personally prefer using this cream during my night routine where I know that the cream helps provide an extra layer of protection from moisture loss while I sleep. I also find myself waking up to glowing skin in the morning without the extra effort.

The best result I have seen using this cream over the last few years is that I could see improvements on my nasolabial folds. I am someone who loves to smile and being in my 40s with lack of collagen and moisture, one of my biggest challenge is slowing down the deepening of my nasolabial lines. The consistent use of this cream in my skincare routine has help slow down the progression of the lines significantly.

This key ingredients in this moisturizing cream focuses on nourishing the skin with antioxidants such as Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Argania Spinosa Kernal Oil, Asiaticoside and Caffeine. It also has skin barrier strengthening ingredients such as Glycerin, Squalane, Cholesterol, Ceramide and Sunflower Seed Oil. In addition to that, soothing ingredients such as Panthenol, Allantoin and Sunflower Seed Oil are added to the formulation to help calm irritated skin.

The Arztin Regenerative Schild Cream ingredients focuses on two purposes - restore the skin's elasticity and to protect the skin from irritation. The use of epidermal growth factors derived from hydrolyzed peas stimulates the skin cells to regenerate new cells that work on strengthening the skin barrier.

Final Thoughts

I would recommend this cream for those who have dry skin that need a boost in hydration and can be used throughout all seasons. However, if you have combination or oily skin, some adjustments are needed as to when and where to apply the cream. For oily skin, this cream is helpful during the winter months to protect your skin from the indoor heat and outdoor cold. For combination skin, this cream is great throughout the winter months and to spot treat areas with dryness during the warmer seasons.

This cream is a staple in my skincare routine over the years for a good reason. It has shown positive results on my skin through consistent use over the years. The best beauty products are not the ones that come and go with the trend, but those that have stayed in a routine long enough to show results on one's skin.

Have you tried Arztin Regenerative Schild Cream? What are your personal thoughts?
